Summer Groups Forming Now!

The Pediatric Development Center is pleased to offer summer groups — back by popular demand!

A free screening is required before enrollment.

Yoga Mini-Masters! (Ages 4 – 6)
Wednesdays, 11-Noon
Begins June 22
6 Weeks
$325
($25 Deposit Required)

In this movement-based group, children will participate in a variety of fun and therapeutic yoga-inspired exercises to promote strength, body awareness, mindfulness and much more! The activities include both independent and group exercises designed to develop motor skills, build self-esteem and improve focus. Yoga Mini-Masters will be led by two  members of our occupational therapy team.

Kids in the Kitchen (Ages 5 – 8)
Social Skills Group
Mondays, 5 -6 p.m.
June 20 – August 1 (no class July 4)
6 Weeks
$375
($25 Deposit Required)

In this 6-week social skills group, your child will build social skills, make friends and eat a lot of yummy food. Each week will feature a special recipe such as pizza bagels, guacamole, Rice Krispie treats and more! The group is limited to six children and will be led by a member of our occupational therapy and speech-language pathology team.

Boys Brigade! (Ages 7 – 10)
Executive Functioning Group
Wednesdays, 6-7 p.m.
Begins June 22
6 Weeks
$350
($25 Deposit Required)

In this interactive group, boys will work  together to solve exciting, hands-on challenges. The activities empower kids to use their critical thinking, reasoning and problem solving skills while building friendships and having fun! The group is led by a member of our occupational therapy and speech-language pathology team.

Girl Time! (Ages 7 – 10)
Social Skills Group
Tuesdays, 6-7 p.m.
June 21 – August 2 (no class July 5)
6 weeks
$350
($25 Deposit Required)

In this social skills group, girls will learn and practice the skills needed to initiate and maintain friendships. Each week will feature a special activity such as cooking, crafts, science experiments, engineering challenges and more! The group will address topics including getting to know friends, respecting personal space, resolving conflicts, and understanding “unwritten” rules. Girl Time! is limited to 6 children and will be led by a member of our speech-language team and occupational therapy team.

 

 

 

 

 

Silver Spring Office Opening in July

The Pediatric Development Center is excited to announce the upcoming opening of our Silver Spring office in July 2016. Located on Prosperity Drive — convenient to the ICC and US 29 — our second location will offer speech-language therapy, occupational therapy and feeding therapy. PDC’s Silver Spring office will accept Blue Cross Blue Shield and UnitedHealthcare. Help us spread the word!
